Actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun, accidentally killing the film's director of photography Hayla Hutchins. He was told the prop gun he was using was not loaded. Complete Travel Media escaped to Whistler, BC for a weekend of fun and adventure. We were excited for our day at The Adventure Group. We bought the TAG Day Pass. We got unlimited access to RZR Tours, Superfly Ziplines, Aerial Obstacle Course, Wedge Rafting Tour and got to experience Vallea Lumina. The rafting costs extra. At the Cougar Mountain Basecamp you can play corn hole, ladder ball, and an oversized tower game. You can enjoy food and beverages while relaxing in nature. After the Vallea Lumina walk, roast some marshmallows over the open fires. Some tips to make more of your experience - bring a GoPro or other action camera. You can't take pictures or videos when you are ziplining or rafting, bring towel to rafting change room for after, and wear non-cotton undergarments.
Take a ride on a RZR through the back country. Guides take you through the forest and stop and some viewpoints to take some unbelievable pictures.
Head up to the top of Cougar Mountain and soar down on 4 different tandem ziplines. Reach speeds up to 100 KM/HR or 62 MPH and you zip over the gorgeous rain forest and 16 mile creek. The scenic tour starts with a 1500 foot zipline that is 400 feet above the ground and features a 200 foot drop in elevation from launch to landing!
Get ready to work your butt (arms, legs, back, abs, feet, and hands) off as you paddle down the Green River. You enter into your raft on Green lake and head for the mouth of the river. You are met with a grade 2 and 3 river that you travel around 7 kms down. Bring some energy as it is quite the workout!
Climb, balance, swing, and jump your way through the tree tops. There are multiple levels available from kids to advanced obstacles. If you want an intense workout you can do the black diamond runs. If you want something a little less strenuous there are courses available for that level.
The Lumina group has installations all over the world. This display is a visual spectacle that is very entertaining and beautiful. You wind through the forest via lights and lanterns. There are light and video displays with speakers for music and sounds. It was an incredible event that we truly loved and highly recommend.
