A tragic accident occurred on a set of the film "Rust" on Thursday October 21st in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun, accidentally killing the film's director of photography Hayla Hutchins. He was told the prop gun he was using was not loaded. The assistant director handed Baldwin the gun from a cart with two other prop guns on it. Film sets follow strict safety protocols for using guns which are well established and straightforward. There will be an investigation into the incident and further details will be released when the investigation is concluded.

The film’s director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, 42, was struck in the chest and flown to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, where she died, officials said. The film’s director, Joel Souza, 48,  was shot in the shoulder area and wounded. He was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe and later released.

norm macdonald - october 17, 1959 - September 14, 2021

Canadian comedian/actor Norm MacDonald died on September 14, 2021, according to sources.  He was 61 years old. The "Saturday Night Live" alum was battling cancer for several years but, kept the diagnosis private. MacDonald was born in Quebec City, Quebec. He first started stand up in Ottawa and eventually to more clubs throughout Canada. In 1992 MacDonald got a job on "Roseanne" writing for the show. In 1993 he joined "Saturday Night Live" and was the anchor for Weekend Update from 1994-1998. 

New tourist attraction- Lavenderland, richmond, bc

This is from a very new tourist attraction called Lavenderland. It just opened on June 19th 2021. It is still under construction so many of the areas are not accessible. We were told that by mid July the main wood cabin in the front would be open for the flower shop and place to buy the various Lavender infused drinks etc.

There are four different types of lavender planted in rows.  You can see the distinct colors of the different species. They have Superblue, Melissa, Grosso and French type of Lavender plants!
