Most people enjoy going out for dinner and drinks in our society. It is great sharing meals with friends and family and can be extra special when some one else does the cooking and serving. This industry has been one of the hardest hit because of the pandemic and we hope to help out as much as we can. Our goal is to highlight some of the best places in your city and give you reviews and insight into the places you might want to try. We want to feature restaurants, bars and tasting rooms. Our aim is to have experts on the choices of alcohol and locally sourced food to make your choices easier.
We love going out with friends or clients to great places for cocktails, beer, or wine and we want to give you some of the best bets.

Complete Food and Beverage Media visited the new UBC location of Sports Illustrated Clubhouse.
Let's look at the positives of this new establishment. For one, the food that we had was fantastic. Secondly, you will never miss any of the sports action with the 27 LED screens and 12 TVs spread throughout.
Now, when you think of Sports Illustrated you think of all the iconic sports magazine covers. So wouldn't you think that would be displayed throughout the 4,600 square feet? The only ones we saw were black & white on the wall by the washrooms.
Super Smash Burger is a SIC custom blend ground beef, american cheese, signature burger sauce, bread and butter pickles.
It was a delicious, so juicy and fresh. They are on special for $6 on Tuesdays
The California Club Sandwich is a grilled chicken breast, red pepper bacon relish, Canadian brie, arugula, tomato, chive and garlic aioli ... so good.
There is a dining area, lounge, wrap-around bar, and patio that opens to the center courtyard.

"Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery became BC’s 8th estate winery in 1972 and is the birthplace of North America’s Icewine." This was the best experience we have had at a wine tasting. The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable of the wines and their pairings. He told us all the aspects of the wine and gave us time to enjoy the tasting ourselves.
We found a new hidden gem in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver. With a vintage feel, the bar has inside seating as well as two patios with old school patio furniture. The inside has a 1970s feel. Check their jukebox for some old school tunes.
The patios, entrance and living room. The condiments come in old school lunch boxes, Spam, Sesame Street, Back to the Future, and Grateful Dead were just a few.
Check out their happy hour menu.
Complete Food & Beverage Media tried a brew pub in Richmond, BC. The name comes from the year it was established, The Year of The Monkey. The number nine represents positivity, gratification, togetherness, magic and wisdom, according to their website. There are large screen TVs, an outdoor patio, and a wood stone oven for delicious "authentic" pizzas.
We tried a flight of four beers - Malty Papa, esb, Eclectic Porter, Guava Loves Mango, and Pucker Punch Stone Fruit Sour
All beers are brewed in house.
The happy hour prices are incredible, house wine is $5 and Monkey 9 draft beers are $5 a pint. Happy Hour food are all great deals.
The Malty Papa, esb and Eclectic Porter were are favourites.
Malty Papa
Bitter - Extra Special
6.25% ABV 30 IBU Monkey 9 Brewing Richmond, BC
Big strong and malty! This beer is all about balance. A classic esb loaded with big caramel flavor balanced perfectly with just enough hops to not overshadow the malt character and leave a satisfyingly bitter finish
Eclectic Porter
Porter - English
5.5% ABV 25 IBU Monkey 9 Brewing Richmond, BC
Like the name implies, this brand new porter incorporates a vast array of bold and complex flavours. With the use of six types of malts, expect chocolate and smokey characters in this big-bodied brew.

The breakfast sandwich was so delicious. The scone was incredible, so savory and full of flavour.
Goodco. opened a new location August 1, 2022 in Steveston (Richmond). Goodco. has the eats, drinks, music, and games. Unfortunately Richmond bylaws won’t allow them to have the video games. They have a great patio to people watch and the excitement on the river. The service was extremely slow and the food was ok.
They serve the juiciest burgers, delicious onion rings, fried chicken and the tastiest soft serve ice cream. All their food is made to order and they use the freshest, local ingredients. We went on the last day of Dine Out Vancouver. You had your choice of appetizer, main course and a soft serve ice cream. We upgraded to a creamy sundae with sweet and salty fixings.

In 2014 two breweries opened up on Murray Street. Now there are 5 breweries and a spirit distillery. The first to open was Yellow Dog Brewing, then Moody Ales, Twin Sails Brewing, Parkside Brewery, and The Bakery Brewing. Rocky Point Spirits recently opened and is the first commercial distillery in Port Moody
